Good news we are excited to advise you that we are back! 😀

We are so excited to get back on track and focusing on training again from Monday 12th April for all students under 18 years old. Adults will be able to train from May 17th. (All going to plan)

As an independent business it has been extremely challenging after working and building the club for 35 years closing it down was extremely hard to watch. We appreciate everyone’s support during these tough times as a small business we need the support to keep the business running.

The following classes will be restarting (covid guidelines will be in place to ensure the safety of our students and instructors in line with government recommendations)

Please remember no equipment, no attendance books, no water bottles and wear trainers.

We will confirm the steps as we go in case anything changes and will advise about schedules and direct debit payments.

Our roadmap for getting back to karate training.
Some light to a very long tunnel.
It’s been a tough year for our small business we thank you for the support.
We will confirm the steps as we go in case anything changes and will advise about schedules and direct debit payments.

https://bushidokarate.co.uk/5414-2/

Waiting for the finer details but seems we can’t restart yet. 12th April seems to be when gyms can be open but training alone or with household. Classes it seems will be at a later date.

When we have proper clarification we will update.

Hopefully some outdoor training may be possible soon.

Direct debits remain on hold at this time.

Training and payment update

As you are all aware this is an ongoing situation.

Unfortunately the full tier 4 lockdown for all our areas and venues came into force over Christmas, it meant we were too late to put the payments that were due out on the 1st January on hold. Those payments that have been taken are now being refunded by EFC. All payments for the 15th Jan are on hold.

All payments will then be on hold until such time as we can train again.

We are trying to manage the situation and payments as best as we can in an ever changing situation and sometimes at very short notice. Direct Debits take a few working days to be collected and processed that’s why it isn’t possible to always amend the collections in time.

Happy new year to you all, are you missing the 2021 punches ??

We will be training again as soon as we can.

Thanks for your ongoing support as a small business it’s really important to us 😄 we appreciate it.

Any further updates will be posted here And in our website.

Well we didn’t see that one coming
Final front kick to the …..
Thats it folks for 2020
Sorry to those they didn’t get to grade, we tried.
We will carry the grading forward to the New Year and do them as soon as we can

Merry Christmas 🎄

Thank you for all the support this year, it’s appreciated.

https://bushidokarate.co.uk/5353-2/

As one final quick swift Mae Geri to the …….s, we seem to have moved most of the classes into Tier 3. All we need is snow for the final blow to karate training for 2020.

However in true karate spirit we carry on. Classes will continue for the under 18’s and their gradings, please remember your red licence books. If you have applied but not yet received one it will be given on the day.

Anyone over 18 who wishes to grade can attend the lesson tonight at 7.30pm at Roundwood Park or 6.00pm at Letchworth, there is limited space available so its first come first served, please be sensible as we are trying to discourage large journeys you all know where you live and whats closest. Please text Brian if you wish to attend one of these lessons to grade 07737 034354.

All people that don’t grade will be graded ASAP when we can and tiers or details change.

Grading December 2020

We have made the decision that for the grading, due to circumstances, for this time only we will grade in class. Brian Owen, Gareth Armour, Oli Parkes and Sue Sutcliffe will be grading their own students at their own venues. Brown belt assessments will also be held in class.

We have taken this decision for safety which comes first and foremost. We feel it would be better to discourage unnecessary travel and to keep numbers at a more reasonable level. We also hope this will mean more students are able to attend as it will be in their normal lesson rather than everyone congregating and travelling to one venue.
If you are not grading you can attend those lessons to practice if you wish.

Due to the unprecedented times we feel this is the best solution and hope to keep everyone safe and maintain the usual Covid measures. Grading forms will be handed out next week. Please text to advise attendance and pay by BACS where possible. Bring your licence book and grading form on the day.

This grading will be slightly different. The grading will be based on the existing kata only and basics. No certificates will be issued to minimise paperwork and contact. The fees will be £15 per person including TIny Tigers. Unfortunately no spectators or photos will be allowed. Please can we ask you take any photos at home away from the hall when picking up to maintain Covid regulations.

Gradings will be held on each of the last lessons in December of this year.

Congratulations to you all for the continued attendance and hard work In difficult times and to all parents and carers who have supported us with the changes made.

Karate classes will restart on Wednesday 2nd December within the current Covid-19 government guidelines.

As stated in our previous post no payments will be taken in December as you have paid in November.

Tier 2
organised indoor sport, physical activity and exercise classes will only be permitted if it is possible for people to avoid mixing with people they do not live with (or share a support bubble with). There are exceptions for indoor disability sport, sport for educational purposes and supervised sport and physical activity for under-18s, which can take place with larger groups mixing

Given the above, and in absence of additional restrictions or conditions, organised indoor martial arts classes can continue for adults and children provided all of the usual COVID-Secure, hygiene and distancing requirements are satisfied. The rule of 6 does not apply to organised indoor sport.

Parents dropping their children to class will not be permitted to stay, if they need to they must wait outside. Classes will have a clearly signed entry and exit area, where possible, and a hand cleaning station where all persons entering the class area will clean their hands. A temperature check will be taken before entering the class. Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell.

We will be keeping all classes to 45minutes allowing time for cleaning between and after classes and to maintain social distancing. There will be no entry from those attending the next class until all those in the previous class have left.

There will be no changing room facilities so you need to come ready dressed in karate Gi, belt and wearing soft soled trainers or sports shoes. Laced up shoes no crocs or slip ons.
For now there will be no need to bring any equipment or water bottles.

Toilets limited to one user at a time and clean all surfaces touched and clean hands with Sanitiser on returning

Face masks must be worn when entering or walking around venues if aged 11 or over. No masks required in class or at venues where you enter directly into the dojo.

All students need to text 07737 034354 each week before each class stating which class they wish to attend in order to avoid exceeding maximum numbers allowed and to keep an attendance record.

Thanks

Look forward to seeing you soon
