Welcome to Minakami Bushido Karate Dojo Black Belt Academy!
We are a Shotokan Karate Academy with an influence from Shito Ryu Karate and Yamanni Ryu Kobudo, established over 30 years ago.
The ancient art of Karate offers a unique opportunity to develop confidence, awareness, discipline, listening and motor skills, and to develop both physical and emotional control. The skills and attitudes you acquire will help you in all aspects of life.
We offer age and rank appropriate classes in a safe, productive, educational and fun environment. For children aged 4 to 7 we offer Tiny Tigers karate lessons.
Although students compete against each other Karate training is more of a competition with oneself and students proceed at their own pace. The environment is ideal for those who love physical activity but shy away from the pressures often associated with team sports.
At MBKD we welcome all ages (from 4 upwards) and abilities. We want you to enjoy your karate and make sure that it’s right for you before you begin spending your hard-earned money.
